Hair Stylist
Full or Part Time
We are looking for a Hair Stylist to create beautiful haircuts and hairstyles for our guest.
Hair Stylist responsibilities include cutting hair using basic and advanced techniques, consulting customers about styles and colors and applying hair care products, like treatment oils and masks.
If you have experience with a variety of techniques and are up-to-date with styling trends, we’d like to meet you.
Hair Stylist Responsibilities:

Welcome guest and identify their preferences by asking pointed questions.

Recommend hairstyles and haircuts according to guests’ face shapes and preferences.

Describing different hair care products and their benefits.

Cut, trim and shave hair using professional equipment.

Apply a wide range of hair coloring techniques, like highlights, ombre and balayage, ect.

Create hairstyles for formal events and everyday looks, including braids, ponytails and buns, ect.

Apply hair treatment products, as needed (e.g. color protection creams and hydrating masks).

Offering manicure, pedicure, and waxing services.

Assisting guest to find the correct products for them, when appropriate.

ensure all guest leave our salon satisfied with our services and feel happy with their new style.

Form bonds with guest and remember their hairstyle preferences and other details.

Adhering to salon and PA Board of Cosmetology safety and cleanliness standards.

Managing bookings, answering phones, and welcoming guest into the salon.

Keeping updated on hairstyle trends and styling method

Show willingness to assist team members.
Hair Stylist Requirements:

High school graduation or GED completion.
-
Current licensing from the Pa Board of Cosmetology.

2 years previous experience as a hair stylist or colorist. Established clientele is preferred.

Proficiency in hair straightening and curling methods, using hot irons and curlers

Hands-on experience with various coloring techniques

Knowledge of a wide range of haircuts and styles, suitable for all hair lengths (e.g. braids and top knots).

Excellent interpersonal skills.

Good verbal communication.

Physical stamina.

Creative mindset and a good eye for design.

Ability to self manage.

Willingness to continue to learn new techniques and attend classes.

Flexibility to work in shifts.
